James has come a long way in the world of literature since putting pen to paper to write his first fitness and training book.

The book – Introduction to Becoming and Remaining RugbyFit – has received huge critical acclaim from across the Media, being reviewed on the BBC Book Club, praised by National Newspapers, as well as leading Sports Magazines. Rugby World gave the book its highest five star accolade as well as naming it their Book of the Month.

However it was a surprise and indeed a great honour to be asked by the UK’s leading book wholesale distributors Gardners Books to perform the closing address at their Annual Trade only show in Warwick. James is in very illustrious company with renowned novelist Robert Harris performing the opening speech at the Trade Show.

James book is a distillation of his now 14 years as a professional rugby players having played under some of the greatest Coaches the sport has ever known. James is the British Isles most cosmopolitan played having uniquely played in all four of the World’s top domestic competitions as well as an impressive 70 plus times for his Country, being awarded Man of the Series in England last tour of Australia.

James has always been a natural when it comes to coaching; enjoying an affinity with words which aligned to his larger than life personality makes his sessions highly informative as well as very engaging and beneficial. This knack of imparting knowledge comes across in the book, explaining as it does in bite sized chunks, exactly what it takes to learn to Train like a Pro and for people to step up and improve their game to ensure they are the best they can possibly be.

This is what the media at large have had to say about James book

James Haskell has drawn from his own experiences to write an in-depth guide on how to get fit for rugby, while also shredding the myth that gym bunnies automatically make good players. He stresses that the priority for players at all levels is to focus on improving their core skills - but that work needs to be under-pinned by the right preparation, which is where this detailed manual comes. Haskell has produced a comprehensive package of fitness and nutrition advice specifically designed for rugby players, with clear explanations of how each section can be applied to the game. All you need to bring is the motivation.
