It's dinner time on JHTV - we're having Pork and Turkey Meatballs with Spaghetti
The main course on JHTV today is Pork and Turkey Meatballs with Smoked Paprika and Whole Wheat Spaghetti with Chilli & Parsley.
It's a great tasting and super filling dish, watch how to prepare and cook the dish along with gaining some great nutritional advice:
150g minced turkey breast
50g minced pork
1 egg yolk
25g panko breadcrumbs
1 pinch chopped oregano
2 basil leaves chopped
1 clove garlic chopped
1 tsp. smoked paprika
200ml tomato sauce
1 portion whole wheat spaghetti
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 small chilli chopped
In a bowl mix the turkey, pork, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, basil, garlic and smoked paprika. Once the mixture is combined well, make into meatballs and place into the fridge for 30 minutes.
Remove from the fridge and place into a preheated oven at 180oc for 8-10 minutes. Once cooked place into a sauce pan with the tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook the spaghetti and drain, toss with the parsley and chilli and serve with the meatballs.
