Tyre Flipping

Tyre Flipping

One of my favourite exercises is tyre flipping.

You don't always have to look to the gym to find equipment to work on your legs.

As a rugby player, I have to be powerful in low positions to clear players out, and obviously one way of developing this is the tyre flip as it is mimicking a dead lift action. You can do it as part of a circuit or as a stand alone exercise.

Some of the key points are:

  • Make sure your chest is up
  • Back flat
  • Use your legs and hips to drive to lift up the tyre - not just your upper body.

This was something I started use in my rehab process.
